New Design for Planters
After a year, Plantscape asked us to design some new planters so the company could extend its range. We were also asked to consider how we could manufacture a tower feature ( i.e. a number of planters, one above another on a central pole) that would water itself. Well, we like an engineering design challenge, especially as there was nothing like this on the market at the time. After a process of designs and drawings, we came up with a new concept that involved water being poured in at the top only, and a pipe and overflow system ensuring all other planetrs were fully watered. Our client was delighted and has moved all all his rotational moulding business to Gordon Ellis & Co.
Defying the Vandals
Improving Motorcycle Safety
Nylon would have been ideal but it wasn't appropriate because it would crack under heavy impact. Our engineers developed a 2-skin process: nylon on the outside for strength and to provide a good paint finish, and plastimer foam on the inside, a high impact inner skin to prevent petrol leakage. This unique development in association with CCM is already seen on their (and only their) bikes.
